“Truth is within ourselves, it takes no rise
From outward things, whatever you may believe
There is an inner center in us all
Where truth abides in fullness
And around wall upon wall the flesh hems it in
That perfect clear perception which is truth.”
- Robert Browning
Ten years ago, I was in a dark place. Although I had many blessings in my life, inside I felt anxious, insecure, stressed and disconnected. Little did I know that this "dark night of the soul" was actually the beginning of an amazing, Divinely-guided, transformational journey!
Without a doubt, the most important part of this journey for me has been "reclaiming" my empathic nature. I've been acutely sensitive ever since I was a young child. I'm easily moved, pick up the moods and emotions of others and, often, sense “what's going on” with people and situations regardless of appearances.
Up until ten years ago, I denied and suppressed my intuition because it drained me and it hurt. However, over the past decade, I've been learning how to use my sensitivity in a healthy way to support my personal, professional and spiritual growth and to serve others. Through this process, my soul journey – my “anam turas”– has become a much more conscious, liberating and joyful ride.
My Passion and Purpose
On this journey, I've come to more fully understand and appreciate how the non-physical aspects of life (our inner world) influence physical experiences (our outer world). Using my sensitivity, I've learned how to connect with my Divine nature and harmonize my inner life with my outer life – to align my beliefs, thoughts and emotions with my goals and actions. I'm passionate about helping others do this, too, and create prosperity and well-being in their lives.
My Path
I've always been a "healer" or "lightworker", although I've not always owned and accepted this role. Looking back on my professional life to date, it's apparent that I've always been drawn to work that brings light and wellness into people's lives and the world. What is, perhaps, less obvious is the "Divine Plan" behind the path to my current work as a coach and prosperity guide for wellness professionals.
My desire to serve has always been strong, and this initially led me to a career as a professional fund raiser. For 16 years, I developed and implemented strategies that raised over $30 million for environmental, social service and health-related not-for-profit organizations, while acquiring marketing, communications, management and financial skills.
During my fund raising career, I experienced the "dark night of the soul", which manifested in my work as losing a sense of meaning and purpose. Initially, I thought that I just needed to "go out on my own", because I had a strong entrepreneurial instinct. So, I started my own fund raising consulting business, which I continued for six years. Yet, I still had a gnawing feeling that my work didn't truly reflect my authentic purpose.
In my spare time, I pursued a personal interest in wellness and natural healing. Some of the modalities I studied included aromatherapy, massage, shiatsu, energy-meridian healing techniques, reflexology, reiki, therapeutic touch, crystal healing, spiritual healing, homeopathy, herbalism, natural nutrition and iridology. While these studies helped me with my own personal healing, I also considered using this training to establish a wellness business. Eventually, I realized that this was not my path.
Increasingly, I became fascinated with the metaphysics of money and all forms of prosperity. I had been experiencing ups and downs financially with my consulting business, and I could see these same fluctuations occurring with my not-for-profit clients. As a fund raiser, I had been working with money for years, but I had never worked with it consciously. All of a sudden, I could see how my own limiting beliefs, feelings and actions regarding money were affecting my finances. At the same time, I observed the opposing results of scarcity and prosperity-based beliefs, feelings, statements and behaviours people modelled in the organizations for which I did consulting work. This was the beginning of my personal and professional financial transformation.
It was also the beginning of my work as a coach and prosperity guide. My interest in prosperity, metaphysics and manifestation grew, leading me to certification through two training programs in these areas: the Life Energy Alignment Process (LEAP) Practitioner Training Program and the Prosperity Partnership Program’s Prosperity Guide Certification Program.
To enhance my ability to help clients apply both metaphysical and physical principles and strategies in their lives and take inspired action toward their goals, I trained and received certification as a coach through the Coach Training Alliance. Certification as a ThetaHealing practitioner has given me a powerful tool to help clients instantly release limiting beliefs and anchor positive beliefs and feeling states.
My Niche and Specialty
The convergence of all the different threads of my path has led to my niche and specialty as a coach and prosperity guide: I help spiritually-oriented wellness professionals build prosperous, fulfilling practices with ease. I do this by supporting clients' abilities to use the law of attraction and practical business-building strategies in ways consistent with their spiritual values and inner wisdom.
Through this work, I'm fulfilling my mission to help build a global economy based on wellness, love, joy and service.
